Get to Know a Supplier: Litton’s Berries & Produce

Posted on by Shawn

Field trip to Litton’s Produce & Berries took place on June 16.  I chatted with the Littons a while about farming practices and then Donna took her on a tour of the fields. We saw black raspberries and blueberries on the bush, kiddos weeding the garden, plants of watermelon, cantaloupes, eggplant, squashes, peppers, tomatoes, corn, beans, asparagus sprigs, beets, onions and strawberries for next year. We saw a jake turkey in the field and deer prints, all fauna happy to help themselves to all the “fruits” and sprouts. I bought 2 pints of black raspberries and made a black(rasp)- and blueberry pie for Father’s Day.Litton's Blueberry bushes
