Pequea Valley Yogurt – spoilage and inventory update!
We are happy to report that Pequea Valley Yogurt will now be ordered the same time that our milk order is submitted. What this means is that members will not be limited to the amount of pre-ordered inventory as we were in the past. This should allow for members to order and receive as much yogurt as they want and we will carry fewer leftovers!
A few months ago some members noticed that the Pequea Valley yogurts were spoiling before their expiration dates, primarily the chocolate flavor. Apparently we were nt the only customers to notice this problem. Trickling Springs Creamery is happy to report that Pequea Valley identified the problem as a bad batch of yogurt culture. The problem appears to be corrected. If you experience further contact orders@valleycoop.org.
