How It Works
Wondering how our farm-fresh foods and natural goods get from their local suppliers to you? Here’s how it works:
The Order Cycle
Every 2 weeks volunteers create a new product list of all Supplier goods offered that cycle (see our product schedule). The list is posted online and emailed to Valley Co-op members on Thursday evenings. You have until the following Monday at 9 pm to place your order, via web, email, or phone.
Gathering and Sorting
By Thursday, Suppliers deliver their items to our dropoff location, or volunteers make pickups to accommodate smaller Suppliers. Volunteers then sort the items in preparation for the member pickup on Thursday afternoon.
Pickup Day
You can pick up your order between 4 and 7 pm Thursday at our central location. During the pickup, members can make additional purchases from excess inventory and adjust their invoices at checkout. We’re constantly working to evolve and streamline this completely volunteer-driven process. Suggestions are always welcome!
